I will just make this brief and share the basics with you all since the diagnosis actually became a bit complicated. Steve's diagnosis is Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML). It was more complex to diagnos because his spleen enlarged, that is not usually seen in AML patients. This may be due to a possible secondary underlying condition yet undetermined. However, for now the treatment plan involves an agressive chemotherapy regime to be done at Parkview in Fort Wayne. He will be here for a little while working this threw and they are going to give him a room with a view of street activity and trees. I will relay the thoughtful messages and encouragements of prayer you are sending to him and the whole family. It is a help to be sure. The Lord is fulfilling His promises of peace and comfort to be sure. He is good...all the time.
In His Grace,
Dawn

Steve,
ReplyDeleteI am in Detroit and BJ said Debbie M. was trying to connect with me today to let me know of your latest challenge.
As always you have managed to turn this over to our Lord and Savior, what strength you have!
I will be praying for you and of course Dawn as well.
I sure would like to hear you play that mouth piece! I had been thinking about it the last 2/3 weeks, but had not contacted you.
Just wanted to let you know I have been thinking about you and now more than ever. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. If there is anything that I might do to help please let me know. I could even stop and down some ice cream for us, but I'd really rather have you there as well.
In Christ Love,
BillyBob
Dearest Steve and Dawn,
ReplyDeleteOur hearts are hurting but also HOPEFUL! God is a great God and truly He will walk with you through this valley....ONE DAY AT A TIME!
Thought for today:
Surely God is my help;
the Lord is the one who sustains me. Ps 54:4
We will hold you close in our prayers- you are both so dear to my heart.
Love Cheri and Carl
Dawn,
ReplyDeleteTell Steve that he and your family are in my prayers. Can he have visitors? If so, what room is he in?
God Bless You All
Wally
Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not unto your own understanding....I was singing that to you. Did you hear me? ♫♪♫ No plugging the ears. ;P
ReplyDeleteHi Steve and Dawn,
ReplyDeleteI think I might be doing something right, especially if you get this message on the blog! Let me know. Meanwhile, Steve do the hospital staff realize yet how blessed they have become, with your presence? There is good in everything when God is front and center. He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Just wondered what our name looked like now. christi had a bit of trouble.
ReplyDeleteDawn, Steve and Family,
ReplyDeleteThe internet family from "home" got your blog to me.After my intial tears, I got busy forwarding Steve and your family into my prayer circle. You and Steve have always been so kind and giving to everyone you know, I pray for healing and strength for all of you.
Please let Steve know he has prayers coming from across the nation.
You both touched my heart when you came when my Mom went to heaven. I shall always remember that.

ReplyDeleteWe're grateful for the blog that keeps us updated. I agreee with "Carol" who said the staff is blessed to have you there. You always gave us a good laugh Steve. So glad you're still playing that harmonica! Keep it up! Stay focused on Jesus and not the circumstances. Praying that your health will be restored.
