Our hopes of Steve coming home this weekend are deferred but he is feeling and doing well. Since his hemoglobins aren't moving they checked his liver to make sure it was functioning right and tests showed that it is okay. He ate a double portion of bisquits and gravy for breakfast so it seems his appetite is improving and he enjoys walking outside to the fountain as well as around the hood. The days are becoming a bit boring now since he feels well enough to get around but his risk of infection is not safe enough for him to leave. His counts will eventually come up though and he will get home. In the meantime he will continue to drop starlight mints on the counters as he walks around and just tonight I found out the nurses call them Steve droppings. How cute :).
