This is the first Sunday that Steve has been back to church since he became ill in May. It was especially meaningful to me for a number of reasons and as I was reflecting on that this morning it seemed like a good time to proclaim the greatness of God for the work that He has done so far with Steve's health. In the Old Testament many times they mark as a memorial the victories God wrought so He will be glorified from one generation to another. The Lord states after a successful battle in Ex 17:14 ..."Write this as a memorial in the book (blog)". In the Lord, Steve and our family, our friends, and prayer warriors have had a successful battle and brought him home! The Lord fought for us, He answered our prayers, We exalt His Name this day and forevermore. Let us rejoice in Christ our victor! I was blessed by Isaiah 26: 1-8 today, here are some parts of this passage, "At that time this song will be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city! The Lord’s deliverance, like walls and a rampart, makes it secure. The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You. "Trust in the LORD forever, For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock. We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, even Your memory, is the desire of our souls."
This song, Soul's Desire by Robin Mark is great...he is praising God with a flag in his hand for the things The Father has done...me too.

(I put the lyrics here so we can sing along together :)
You are my soul's desire, I was wandering,
I was wandering,
Wandering all my days from my Father's house
From the heights to the depths Love was calling
Love was calling
Calling out to me, just to bring me home.
Lord of the earth, the sea, the sky, In glory and power
How can it be that I'm Your child
And You are my Father
So I, oh I, I will exalt Your name again
Most High
Every way I can.
You put songs in my mouth, I am praising,
I am praising
Praising only You, for the things You've done
There's a flag in my hand and I am waving,
I am waving
Waving it for You, just to make You smile.
Many will see and hear and trust, In You our salvation
Many will turn and seek Your face,
From out of all nations
So I, oh I, I will exalt Your name again
Most High
Every way I can
In Christ We Stand Victorious,
Dawn
