We are back home from Chicago, actually we got back the same day we went on Wednesday, I just haven't blogged, sorry. The testing procedures went well but we don't know any results from them. The Med Center was suppose to call on Thursday to give us further instructions but we haven't heard from them yet. So, we are waiting on them to call and tell us when Steve will go in to the hospital. We are under the impression that it will be next week but do not have a confirmation of that at this point. When he does go it will be to "mobilize his stem cells", that is what they call the process of collecting and freezing his own stem cells. It will take about a month and when his blood counts are up high enough he can come home for four weeks to recover before going back for the actual transplant, which will involve more chemo and take another month.
We are fortunate to have wonderful family in Chicago, Steve's Aunt & Uncle and their children (Steve's cousins) are native to the area which makes us feel safe knowing they are there and close at hand.
I will blog next week after we get a call from the Medical Center and know when Steve will be admitted. Thank you for keeping in touch and caring about us...we care about you too and pray for you also.
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Psalms 27:13

We are praying that when the call comes it will be the exact timing that God has planned. All the details of this journey will be worked out accordingly by the hands of your loving Heavenly Father.
ReplyDeleteGod will carry you through! He has promised to always be faithful! We are trusting God with you and love you much!
