Well the jack hammer stopped at dusk last night and I feared it was going to start up this morning after a big truck got through running around but to my relief it didn't. Steve doesn't seem to mind it as much as I do, he just looks at the bobcat that is picking up the pieces of broken cement and wishes he were driving it. But thank you for keeping that in prayer...such a trivial thing in light of what we are here for but it was getting to me.
A different team came in today to introduce themselves...we are still confused about some of the changes that just happened with the old team but hopefully the Lord will shed light on those things that we are in the dark about. In looking over primary myelofibrosis information today Steve and I discovered that fewer than 3,000 people are diagnosed with it each year in the United States. Steve being the consummate statman that he is calculated, based on the most current projected US population, that only .001% get it. No wonder they don't see alot of it as it's usually not diagnosed until it causes other problems such as anemia, leukemia, etc. Steve asks to keep praying for wisdom for these folks as they have tough decisions to make day in and day out. He is feeling okay today, somewhat dizzy and short of breath but overall is doing well. It is likely that within the next week he will get fevers and infections and will need tranfusions. I hope and pray it is minimal.
Steve and I are getting ready to watch our third episode of the John Wayne classics (thanks Beth) while I needlepoint (thanks Marie), so I will say goodnight.
We love you all,
Dawn

When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul. Psalm 94:18-19 God chooses to know us & to be actively involved in our lives each day. How different will today, or tomorrow be knowing He supports you when your foot slips or that His consolation is nearby when anxiety rises?
ReplyDeleteWhat comfort to know HE is really in charge and ever present with us.
Praying for wisdom in all things today!
Love and hugs for you two!
