Sunday~Day+5

I realized after the computer was shut down last night that I didn't post on the blog so I mobile uploaded a quick message.  Going through the phone system only allows so many words but now that I'm back on the computer I can get really wordy :).  A couple of days ago Steve developed an intestinal infection from all the bacteria that dumps into the system after chemo, he had it in August also and when treated with the right medicine, which he is on now, should clear up very well in a few days.  Until then visitors have to wear pretty yellow gowns, masks, and gloves while they are in the room, a precaution for them.  Steve is pretty weak and tired today, he received a transfusion of platelets, washed up a bit, and sleeps off and on.  His counts are still going down but they will keep him built up with transfusions as needed.  The doctors and nurses are overly attentive and monitor him very vigilantly, we very much appreciate their constant care, although I have a feeling he will like not being woke up in the middle of the night to take his temperature.  A few days ago they started him on daily Neupogen shots to stimulate the growth of the new cells...go little blood cell soldiers...be fruitful and multiply!  Steve is wearing his new fleece pj bottoms Diana got him and they are cozy. He also is getting a hankering for Subway so I am going to fetch him a footlong (hold the holopenos) for supper.  That's about all for today, hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving holiday.
Love to all,
Dawn and Steve too
p.s. check out my sleeping beauties on the picture pages
