We came back to Chicago today for Steve's weekly clinic visit. After his clinic visit we arrived back at the apartment and settled in again. He was in the midst of writing the blog to update you on the clinic visit which went well as far as his white counts and other vital stats were concerned when the phone rang. It was the clinic nurse who said some other tests came back that determined his potassium and sugar levels were acutely high and he needed to go immediatly to the hospital to be admitted. It was a shock since he is feeling really well but it is important to get whats out of wack back on track as quickly as they can. So we are blogging from the UCMC hospital tonight. Steve just had an EKG to test his heart and is hooked up to a heart monitor. Evidently acutely high potassium levels can cause heart problems so they are monitoring his heart and are taking steps to lower the potassium. We don't anticipate that he will be here long~Lord willing.

You know this young person is a little silly sometimes. We miss you at work and people ask about you all the time. I told them about your blog.
