Thursday~100 DAYS

100 days and counting!
We just got home from Chicago and Steve's 100 day bone marrow and pulmonary tests.  We won't have the results of the bone marrow for awhile but his blood counts and lab results have improved again.  At least everyone had smiles on their faces (of course it could have been the balloon we were sportin' around...more on that later) and we don't have to go back for two weeks. Yippee!  They told him to keep up what he is doing cause it's working and they expect his kidney's will eventually work their way out of the stress they are under from the medication.  His lung tests were very good too so all in all health wise it was a positive clinic visit.

Now about the "Congratulations Balloon"...we have Trish and Neal Smith to thank for that...Thanks you two! Trish and Neal are staying in an apartment close to UCMC like Steve and I did.  Neal is 30 days past transplant, they walked over to see us and brought the balloon with them for Steve's 100 day milestone, how sweet :).  It was more fun than I would have ever realized taking that balloon around to the clinic rooms.  I never realized that seeing a balloon would put a smile on everyones face but whenever anyone walked into the room, including the Doctor, they started smiling when they saw what we had floating around us. It felt like a party instead of a clinic visit and it was nice to see people smiling.  And not only that but also seeing our other new friends Al and Terri Kondraschow and being able to sit and visit with everyone made our day especially blessed.  Al is over his 100 days now...what a great support group meeting :)

Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 11 Corth. 2:14

Blessings of Grace,
Dawn and Steve
