Monday - June 28, 2010

Evening All,
We thought we'd have better news to report today but the numbers dipped just a skoosh in the ANC area to 90. Not unusual to waver up and down a bit but weren't as good as the first numbers shared today. I guess that's why they call us patients, to be just that. I did take another couple units of red blood cells this afternoon. I also had a radiology check to see why my central line won't allow blood to be drawn easily. Seems there is what they call a fibrin sheath (buildup like a flap) on the end of the tube in the artery that closes over the tube end when drawing against it. Verdict is still out on what to do but they will either clean it off the end thru a procedure or replace the central line itself. Dawn went home to do some more harvesting and will be back soon. Well, just got some company for a visit so I'll let you all go for now.

Standing firm in faith (Is 7:9),

Steve
