Back here with Steve now at the hospital, aaahhh, when I got here and saw him he looked the best I've seen him in a week. Lots of good color and quick wit, his counts are still dropping nicely, as they say, and the new room has features that have easier manuvering for Steve. The way I understand it the more his counts drop the less immune system he has which will make it necessary for precautions to be taken as far as visitors. Soon we will start wearing masks (we already sanitize our hands often) and then he will need to be isolated with only immediate family with him.
Last Friday the prayer requests were for his appetite to return and the swelling in his spleen to go away, both have improved. He isn't eating meals yet but is snacking on a small variety of foods and I even was told that he had some homemade strawberry shortcake. His spleen also looks alot better and there is no swelling that I can see but then I'm only a virtual reality expert, Steve says I got my medical license from Google MD.
The final praise is that I get to read his journal again, since he started feeling so much better he is back at the pen and paper. Yeah! It seems strange that our lives are being lived out in such a way but it is our desire to bring glory to God through this journey and discover all the riches that are in Christ Jesus. There seemed to be a fresh presence of the Lord when I stepped into the new room...maybe it is just my imagination but there is a greater calm in here for me and I have heard Steve say a couple of times now that he can really feel the prayers.

Good morning Steve and family. I trust you can sleep & and do some snacking today. We are up...4:45AM & I wanted to get this off to you.
ReplyDeleteI had this song on my mind when I woke up....
"When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll: What ever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul.
It is well.....with my soul,...It is well, it is well with my soul."
Jon 14:27 "Peace, I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
Pretty good place to rest in....praying that for you....Blessings Kristin & Phil
