Right out of the gate this morning complications cropped up...Steve's liver test showed some elevated test results that have been worsening since Friday and a fever has set in. They wrote up a protocol to follow for the day that involved antibiotics, platelets, preventative viral & fungal meds, and more transfusions. They have followed the regime very well and things seemed under control until just a few minutes ago when they took his temperature again and it is a little higher, actually too high for them to do the blood transfusion. So if anyone is reading this blog at around 8:30pm would you please pray that his fever will go down so he can get his unit of blood. He seems to be getting some type of infection and there are antibodies in his blood culture. He did eat a danish roll for supper then laid right back down.
Some people have expressed a concern about me not sleeping because the times on the blogs are in the wee hours of the morning but there is somekind of time difference on this site. I can write a post at 10pm and then it will say 2Am. So don't be too alarmed when you see those times, I'm am resting very well here in the room with Steve. I have a little couch to sleep on that is very comfy and I'm resting good. Thanks for your concerns though it's very thoughtful of you.

Praying the fever is down & no infection, Steve.
ReplyDeleteYes, Dawn glad you are getting some rest:).
Romans 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Pretty sound Word....Have a good evening.

prayers for you
ReplyDeleteHi Steve...And family,
ReplyDeletePraying for you now...Tuesday...
I'm thinking of the song written about the woman at the well....one of my favorites....the song is good, too. I'm sure Steve you probably had played this on your harmonica.
"Fill my cup, Lord, I lift if up, Lord! Come and quench this thirsting of my soul; Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more, Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole!"
Our prayer for you today....Love you all P & K
Sending prayers your way. You are on my mind and in my heart every day.
ReplyDeletewith love, Janet
Our prayers are with you all.
ReplyDeleteFather, help them to feel the prayers and love that are sent their way by so many friends and family. Continue to help them find their rest and peace in You. You are our peace.
Take courage and don't be afraid to sound the trumpet anytime of the day or night.
