Sunday & Monday~Waiting on anc's

Hope everyone had a happy Father's Day! Steve felt pretty good, he still got a unit of blood but we went to Chapel Services down the hall, walked out to the fountain twice and visited with the kids an GK's throughout the day. It was the most I have seen him walk since he was admitted. There are rumors floating around that he might get to go home by the end of the week...that is if his counts are up high enough and it does seem like they are on the move somewhat.

I've been at the hospital since Friday and then went home Sunday night. Ladies from church are helping me clean and get ready for Steve's home coming. Home Health Care will also come in to monitor his central line and we will go to the local hospital several times a week to have his blood levels checked. We are praying that he doesn't get a fever...that will keep him and/or put him right back in the hospital very quickly.

So it is with great anticipation that we start our week, as I am sure you all are, placing our expectations in the Lord.

  2. A new day is beginning....renewed hope and opportunity. I can only imagine how your days are running together--at times feeling restless as a lion or content as a kitten. Whatever the mood of the day (or hour)may God's all-knowing spirit meet your needs.

I keep thinking about the fact that God knit you together years ago in your mother's womb. I'm convinced He hasn't forgotten how to knit - He still has the pattern for your bone marrow and blood cells !!!

    Praying and trusting,
    Cheri and Carl

  3. Thought you would know this one Steve. It's been going on in my mind all day....

"Learning to lean, learning to lean,
I'm learning to lean on Jesus.
Finding more power than I've ever dreamed,
I'm learning to lean on Jesus"

  4. HIS Word declares:

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me: thy mercy, O Lord, endures for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

    Psalm 138:7&8

    Love and prayers!
