Steve just passed mile marker 7. This milestone marks the end of the first week of chemotherapy and we now begin a 7 day period of monitoring. During this week he will be given "juices" as needed, that is my technical medical term for all the transfusions, salines, platelets, etc. etc. that they hang on R2 (Steve's name for the the pole on wheels that holds the bags). At first I began to resent this tall "lady" and her dangling liquid earrings that cut in on my dance partner but then the more I talked it over with the Lord He began to show me it was His way of reaping vengence on an enemy. Jehovah Gmolah...The God of Recompense.
The big day will be DAY 14...that is when they will do the next bone marrow test to see if there is any lukemia. I think you all know what to pray about that one. Someone who just became aware of Steve's illness asked how they could pray so I shared with them what has been the prayer of Steve's heart from the beginning...That God would be glorified through this, that he (Steve) can have a good testimony...and now I add...that there be no lukemia on Day 14.
