Wednesday~Becoming a Donor

Steve is recovering well, no infections have been found, the IV team took charge of his new triple lumen catheter, and he is walking around visiting the old hood. His counts are starting to show and hopefully will climb more quickly than before. Sounds like they are keeping him until there is a positive trend taking place. They think he started dehydrating and along with low blood counts just got weaker and weaker. He is getting better now though and should be back home soon.

Many of you are asking about being tested for a marrow match for Steve. The following is a website that gives information/qualifications on becoming a donor, should be able to answer your questions and give ways to join the donor bank. http://www.marrow.org/JOIN/index.html?src=tabjoin . The transplant team said they go to this donor bank to find a match for Steve. Thank you for caring.

Well it's lights out here, Dawn

  1. Hi Steve...so glad to know you are doing better...
and that Dawn's pc is mended. we are also grateful that Ft.Wayne is closer than Chicago.

I did check on the donor bank for details. I am to old to donate :( but that doesn't disqualify me (us) from praying and being your friend.Ha! We are praying for a slightly younger person :) to be the match you need.

Think of you often. Praying for God's peace and healing...Love P & K
