Afternoon Folks,
A sunny but nippy day in Chicago. I had my clinic appointment with Jean Ridgeway, Nurse Practioner, today. After being on the prednisone since Monday, the rash is looking much improved; not spreading anymore. My blood work looked good; white blood count back up to 4.4 from 1.5 or so last week. She said I'm doing good; need to drink more water and fluids. I'm tryin'. She would like to keep the GVHD in the acute stage and away from going chronic. Me too. Next appointment is Thursday, January 13th. The Lord is faithful to your prayers. Thank you. Have a great day.
His,
Steve and Dawn

HI Steve and Dawn,
ReplyDeleteHowdy from your friends in Shipshe. we're glad to hear of your steady progress. You are both getting to be knowledgeable about this illness and all the twists and turns of recovery. But we're grateful that you know the One who is in charge.
I'm still trying to get things in order here.
I worked a lot in December what with Christmas
shoppers and doing inventory. Then Phil's mother passed into heaven. At 97 we were glad
for her but will miss her temporarily. So we spent needed time with family in Medford.
Our Sarah had knee surgery last week and is doing well with the repair job they did on her.
I spent half the week at her place running and fetching for her, and now some meals to take in.
But you both are on our minds and as well as being on the prayer list at Living Hope. I have a friend there that always asks how you are doing Steve.
We're looking forward to having you over for a cookout and some booapple pie and pumpkin and or maybe apple...Too many choices!
Hope you can get caught up on some reading and be sure to take in plenty of liquids while you're at it.
Currently studying in Genesis, Mark and Revelation. Seems to cover all the bases for
a life of real hope unlike what we hear on the news....Our redemption draws near...look up!
Love you guys,
P & K McTice
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHIPPER!!!
ReplyDeleteI suppose you and Dawn are out on the town celebrating, but I hope you get in at a reasonable hour. Did you ever stop to think that we have been friends for over 50 years? That's half a century!!!!
Hope everything is still going well and hope to see you soon.
