We just got back from Steve's clinic appointment. It was longer than usual since some of his kidney counts were off again they wanted him to stay and have some IV fluids and magnesium. It took a couple of hours for the whole process and he will have to do that for a couple of more days then go to clinic on Monday morning to get his blood counts again. Lord willing we will head home after Mondays' appointment and set up home health care for Steve to learn how to do his own hydration fluids.
On the bright side we were told today that the molecular test from the bone marrow test showed all donor cells and none of Steve's. Yahoo!! He will have another bone marrow test around his 100 day mark and are praying that good report continues.
We are going to try and manage his clinic visits staying between home and Steve's relatives in Chicago when needed. Our lease is up Monday and it's time for a change. We just hope and pray nothing serious crops up that would keep us from getting back to UCMC if needed. That is our plan for now. We are so encouraged by the cards your sending too, it helps keep up our spirits and feel connected.
Blessings to all of you,
Dawn & Steve

What WONDERFUL report of the bone marrow biopsy!
ReplyDeleteWe pray that all other aspects of this calm down nicely. Our home is also open if you need a place...just too down from where your nephew used to live.
