It does feel wonderful to be home. We are unpacking and settling back in. The home health care nurse came today to get Steve lined out on his home care. He has to have daily hydration and magnesium over a four hour period of time so he had to learn how to hook up the IV and program the pump. As much of a hassle as taking his hydration at home seems it is still better to be home and doing it than being in the hospital or even doing it as an outpatient. Right now Steve's kidneys are actually in what they call acute renal failure so he needs to do what ever he can to get them in a healthier state that's why they decreased his medicines and are pumping the water to him. We go back to Chicago for a clinic visit on Thursday weather permitting and get his blood tests again. I'm sure we will go armed with an overnight bag in case they want him to stay and keep them company at the hospital.
Hope you all are fairing well through the snow storm.
Keep warm,
Dawn & Steve
