Sunday~Day T-2

Lord willing today Steve finished the last bag of chemotherapy FOREVER.  The day started out pretty well but as it wore on the medicine started taking a bit of a tole on him.  He got very nauseous so the nurse came in and put some liquid zofran in his central line that reacted very quickly, he felt better after that.  He just finished 7 hours of sucking on ice to keep from getting mouth sores, we hope it works.  After the last bag of chemo was finished they started an IV anti rejection medicine which will be administered as a continual drip 24/7 until he leaves the hospital.  That means the IV pole will be a constant companion now...no more getting unhooked from time to time.  I snapped a picture of him this morning when he was kidding around.
